Welcome to the website of the Lambda Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the international honor society of nursing. Lambda Chapter is affiliated with the Wayne State University College of Nursing. This website is fairly new, and we are still working out the kinks. We welcome your feedback.

April 28, 2010: Sigma Theta Tau Lambda Chapter is having its annual dinner meeting on in the Cohn Lounge.
The Speaker will be Mary E. Mitsch, RN, MSN, PhDc – Associate Professor, College of Nursing and Health at Madonna University. Topic: Transforming Despair to Joy.

Service: Join the Detroit Public Schools Volunteer Reading Corps. Dr. Jay Noren, President of Wayne State University, has extended a call to the University community to volunteer for the Detroit Public Schools Volunteer Reading Corps. See Wayne State University supports DPS Volunteer Reading Corps. Your chapter president, Dr. Janna C. Roop, is extending a call to all chapter members to assess interest in volunteering as a chapter. If anyone would like to help investigate this service project, please contact Dr. Roop at roop@wayne.edu
Funds Available for Research Conference in Orlando, FL, July 12-17, 2010 On behalf of the Delta Omega Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International Foundation will provide one Dr. Lillian DeYoung Leadership Education Grant at USD 400 for registration fees and travel expenses associated with attending the 21st International Nursing Research Congress focusing on Global Diversity through Research, Education and Evidence-Based Practice, 12-17 July 2010, in Orlando, FL. To be eligible for this Leadership Education Grant you (1) must be an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Delta Omega Chapter (preferred) or of another chapter in Region 10 and (2) find it difficult if not impossible to attend the International Research Congress without financial support. The application will be posted on the Region 10 website soon. The deadline for making application is 21 April
